Yesterday was get out of dodge day to escape the fire damage. Devils hole Quarry that is semi active and delivers rose quartz, mica(Muscovite) garnets,rose quartz,tourmaline lots more. mostly rose quartz here Easy to just pickup nice sprays of Muscovite rose quartz and a small piece of beryl in lower middle rebuildable tourmaline the shape of the beryl that was there about 2 ft width there is some of it still there ah! finished diggin now to go home. As always, thanks for the fieldtrip report, Dicky! The pics of your countryside out there are great to see! The MASSIVE size of the mica and beryl blows my mind, and that's a lot of rose quartz, too. Very glad to see you've got time for rockhounding activities after all you guys have been thru. Why do they call it Devils Hole? Thanks, Joe

Only reason I can think of for devils Hole is if ya fall off the side it is one heck of a fall to the bottom.
