Hello Im new to this site and currently living in the Philippines.. Ive been spending alot of time in the jungles documenting animals and came across this strange rock... Its too big to move and probably worthless but I find it odd that its the only one like it that I could see in the river. any Ideas? Attachments:

Looks like it has alot of iron in it...all that rock is river rock and it could have come from anywhere up river....if it is real heavy there could be more under the surface...if you have access to a metal detector who knows what you'll find....make sure it's legal first.

Yeah I have a Mine Lab metal detector but even if its got iron in it, that doesn't mean its has value does it? unless it was an Iron meteorite or something. I would take a horse to move it but I would like to have it in my yard hahah. Its located deep in the jungle.

Heck, can't say much from looking at the pic, but thanks for it anyway. And the Philippines is a little outta my neck of the woods.......... Might be iron giving it that color, but could be a lot of things. Next time you're out that way you might want to bring a chisel and a hefty hammer with you and knock off a few pieces from different areas of the thing. Might help to take a closer look. You ain't anywheres near to Philadelphia are you?
