Went out to the peridot area last week to double check for a field trip I lead on June 23 and found some realy good stuf in the magma. here I am on the hillside banging on the basalt where I see some one of the first I found about 1/2 inch diameter bit better about 1 1/2 inch across if I want i could get a facet piece from this group - but I like the way ma nature did it kinda neet how mush Peridot( all the green spots) is in there however how do I get it out basalt is really hard just for giggles I was standing by the spot I unloaded the peridot and noticed it was next to my Colorado KImberlite and almandine dirt( on the right,( weed and grass wont grow in kimberlite dirt- only d--- dandelions ) from the pipe-- it is diamondnific but unfortunately almost all are microscopic. Above the blue spoted rock is IOLITE crystals Hopee you enjoyed Dicky

Hey Dicky, glad to see you're finding some good stuff. I still haven't been out to any of the peridot locations yet!
