Ok, more like ground chicken or tofu in color, but the ridges look like freshly ground meat. The upper left is more Kona Dolomite, although you cant really see the wavy bands in this photo. The upper right is another shot of the "one of the first" post. And the lower right is a fossil-y looking thing that has a course, sandy feel. Attachments:

Tofue! Ground Turkey maybe! Are you doing your grocery list? Looks like a very nice assortment of what I would call 'Yard Rocks'. Methinks you may be jumping the gun by lumping big rock on left in with the Kona Dolomite. Sedimentary layering looks too pronounced. The Ground Round is a fossilized piece of coral, as is the piece next to it. And yes, the big quartz rock has a really nice vein of some marooned iron stained stuff running thru it. Don't know if it would make good cab material until you try. Besides for the trim saw looks like you're going to need an 18" too. It's hard to get to the bottom of what all is in a rock sometimes until you can cut it open. I see a rock garden in your future. Have a great weekend.

I was really hungry that day ... I'm just now accumulating some tools, mostly dremel type so far. We have a bench grinder that needs a carbide wheel, which I found on ebay for 20, and the old man is going to build a saw out of an old motor we had. Found a few more interesting iron based rocks with the same maroon in them that I'm gonna post. And an interesting aside, I found more of that "smelted iron" that had a vein of quartz running through it...so if it was man made, it was a long damn time ago... The rock garden has already begun...
