I found these rocks at a limestone quarry in Alabama. Can any one help me identify them? Attachments:

Most likely pyrite, as it is fairly common in Limestone from Indiana Ky Tennessee and Alabama. Can't tell color from photo, but appears to be golden/yellow/silvery. Some lead and arsenic also occur in limestone, but it would probably be silvery, and if galena, can be cut with a knife. Also, pyrite is usually cube shaped, whereas the photo mineral appears to be layered. Might aid id if you described the metallic element. Note that pyrite doesn't always have to be cubic, or brassy yellow. It can weather and deteriorate to grainy grey/silvery black.
