Hello, I am a huge sand collector. I have over 1000+ samples right now and I am looking for more. I am only interested in locations that I dont have. I am interested in mine rough too (It counts!) I know sometimes crazy colors come from the mines. I am willing to buy or trade any of my sand. If you live close to a beach or a lake, It could be as easy as walking out your back door. I will pay for shipping plus extra. If it is not a hassle, just fill up a flat rate box, and offer me a price. Thanks contact wha3454@gmail.com

Scoobied, are you just wanting quartz sand, or would garnet and ruby (corundum) sand be of interest.

All sand! I turn down none. Although if you mean like san sized garnets that have been sluiced/panned then no. You wouldnt believe some of the natural colored sands that I have collected over the years. Let me know what you have

Leonardo, he must be the original sandman. Here is a couple photos of sand at Pawley's Island, SC. I couldn't figure out how to get it home in this pattern. Attachments:

Nice. Send some my way. Ill trade if you want some interesting sand. Here are some of my samples The first one is some hawaiian sands that I have extra of. My favorite is the green sand that is purely olivine. The second picture is from a beach in Japan. It is known as "star sand" only two beaches on the world have sand like this. And the last 2 pictures are just a display i made with some of my sand. I have lots of other sand to trade too. would take me a while to get pictures of them all.

Was hoping you would show your collection. I had envisioned tin cans sitting out in thte yard with rusty sand and water. But I can see you have tamed the ocean beaches and brought them indoors. Good dispolay

Hello! I am looking for samples from Belize, Grand Cayman Islands, Mahogany Bay(Honduras) and Cozumel, Mexico. I will be going to Tybee Island, Georgia and St. Augustine, FL this August if you would like to trade at all. I am also booking a cruise in January 2014 to Key West, FL and Nassau, Bahamas if you would like sand from there as well. If you do not wish to trade for these locations, I would also be up for just purchasing samples. I collected sand from my honeymoon which was also a cruise and the sand was damaged on the journey home. I am trying to keep my collection going and I am missing an important piece. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Just wondering if you by chance have any Southern Utah "Red Dirt?" If not, I might be able to snag you some.
