The bands look to wavy for petrified wood. It looks like a sandstone. Might come from a river or stream or something with more turbulence to stir up different sands

Look up Kona Dolomite and see if you don't find a match to yours.

It doesnt have the black in it, but many of the pics I saw didnt either. Should polish up nicely...thanks!
