Anyone able to identify this dark green crystal? The longest crystal is 5cm in length. It's embedded in granite with some quartz. The crystal is quite wet in this picture, it's very dark (nearly black) otherwise. Thanks for giving it a look! Attachments:

Sure looks a lot like epidote.

Hey salty, That's a beautiful specimen of epidote you have there! Did you find it yourself?

Thanks for your expertise Dan & TW!
I've only recently (this week!) renewed my childhood interest in geology. I have yet to swing a rock hammer, and can't claim that specimen (or any others) as my own. I hope to remedy that situation ;-)
