Does anyone remember the original site of the Amethyst deposit in Jonesville SC? I remember going there 50 years ago with a group but cant remember the directions.

Hi Terry, I just talked to Rick (owner of MAGMA) if he's remembers this mine and he said that he does remember it and there's now a paper factory or company near the site. That's all I have for now.
Take Care, Craig

Hi Craig, I was speaking with someone last night who, like me, believes there are numerous sites around there. Another friend's wife found a 6" diameter quartz crystal last week. It had gemmy sections but all white. I am going there this weekend and walk the property. Its been recently clearcut, so that should help. I'll post what I find out

Has anyone got some new information about this? How about Liberty Hill area. It is hard to stay current as sites are taken over so quickly.
