My latest efforts..... I've never tried any of these before and they ain't as easy as they might look. Onyx, Pet Wood, and Flint Ridge Flint. The bolsters will be reworked for the finished knives. Now to make like an Elf! Joe

Good looking stuff there.
What are you using to attach it, cyanoacrylate? Any grooves or anything on the back to help the adhesive grab hold?

Well thanks guys. Rockshine that FRF is absolutely some of my most favorite material. It's real hard. I always wonder if it's time to change my rough wheel when I'm cutting it, but the variety of color and patterns just doesn't seem to end. And you can get more variety by heating it. I also got a piece or two from John and haven't been able to cut it yet either. Go for it! Iron Tom, I'm just making the scales. The knives are finished by a man that is about the finest craftsman I have ever met. He's been making knives for over 30 years and has tried every kind of glue out there, and, believe it or not, he has settled on good and simple old Krazy Glue as his favorite. Dries clear and rock hard. Joe

Thanks, Mickey. Ya kno, while I was doing these, I was thinking once I get these done, that's it, no more. But now I've already got the pieces picked out for a few more. ;D
