Some of you may know me from the rock tumbling board, but I'll put a quick "hello" here for those who don't.
In days gone by, I collected in Arkansas, but for the time being, since I have too much material, mostly from some estates, I have put myself on hiatus from collecting except from swaps. In this way, I don't continue to get a bigger and bigger rock pile. I'm working on a project to set up a rock-cutting workshop and to get my rock pile down to manageable size. There are no rocks in this part of Louisiana, just mud, so it amazes me that so far my rock pile doesn't seem to be getting any smaller. :-)
In addition to collecting cutting materials -- I prefer the Jasp/Agates for cutting -- I like to collect natural crystals and I also have a decent sized collection of stone spheres.

Hello and welcome, Peachfront. Just when I thought I was set to slip into my dotage, doing what I already know how to my rockpile, along comes you, with your fabulous webpage: now I gotta learn spheres; reread Speaker of the Dead series; get out the birding glasses. Thankfully I'm too old to count cards. Your's is the most interesting page I have visited in a long time. Rockshine
