I've been lucky this year to get to the Ray a few times, but slacking on posting. So with a little motivation I'll start off with a trip in January. Started out below freezing, but ended in the 50s with fog nearly all day. My favorite weather hands down. This 60 straight days of hotter then I've ever felt is miserable to rockhound in all day. CAN'T wait for fall. Anyway, the day went perfect. I found plenty of neat stuff. But the next day I realized I had been digging in poison ivy roots all day. I don't get the rash very easily, but this time it was all over my hands, arms, and places it shouldn't have been. I know some people don't like posts with tons of pictures, so I'll split this up into a few parts. Here's some pics from the day. Ezra View Downhill View East View Uphill Beryl as I found it, having fallen from my holes ceiling same one Large rock with 4 beryls same one Loose yellow/green Beryl This Beryl would have been perfect had it not lost the corner. It's much more blue colored in person Same one next to my eastwing sledge
