They just uncovered a site. Well it has evolved over the last 16 years. Turns out the oldest ever big site. Older than Stonehenge by 7,000 years and in perfect condition. The whole thing was buried. 12,000+ years ago. This site is carbon dated as the neolithic period. This means they didn't even have pottery yet. This was built pre iron age. Pre bronze age. Pre copper age. This means they only had flint to carve this. Well thats crazy. I am baffled at that point. This changes everything we have been taught as to our history. And raises so many questions. This was the time of hunter gatherers. There is no indication of farming. Yet it took masses of people to build. Let alone bury it. And the intelligence, communication and organization to build it would have put early mans skills at a different level than we had perceived. Here is a show about it with a lot of folks thoughts about it. But it does have some fantastic photos of the place. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xo0ZkgqM1TE&feature=relatedHere is an interview with the man that is doing the excavation. www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8DOjnZu8H4This will give you an idea as to the size of this place. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJL7094k1-4There is more in You tube. Some nuts but some with at least a lot of great photos.
