So I went back to the Bradford Quarry yesterday here in Lane Co. Oregon in hopes of picking up some more of the great zeolites they have there. Boy, was I in for a wonderful day of collecting. First off I found a large pocket that was freshly exposed in the quarry wall that was larger than a basketball and fully lined with tiny crystals of stilbite (I think). Here is a pic of that material... Attachments:

Here is a GREAT chabazite crystal with a small growth of phillipsite alongside, a tiny dogtooth calcite (probably can't see it in the pic), and a yet to be determined white mineral Attachments:

Here is the best pocket I have brought home yet. It is full of phillipsite, calcite, and a slew of other minerals I'm not even going to pretend to know what they are Attachments:

I searched some different areas that aren't known to produce many minerals, and was surprised to come across one small single pocket, with a few quartz sceptors. They are small, only a few millimeters total in length, but one has a definate twinge of purple to it in person Attachments:

In this pic is another pocket lined with phillipsite balls/crystals. I could see this specimen from 30-40 feet away, and had to crawl waaay up a loose rock pile to snatch it from the top. It has 2 pockets in total, and is home to quite a few different minerals Attachments:

I found another great pocket in one rock that had a beautiful perfect no damage big calcite rhomb, but unfortunately died while I was trying to remove the mass of basalt attached to it. I think it may be about time to save up and rent a concrete saw one day...Hope you folks enjoy the pics half as much as I enjoyed collecting the minerals

Yep. The first one is stilbite. Nice piece and I love the Chab. All around looks like a good day. Keep them coming.
