I can't be sure, but that looks kinda like biotite mica to me.

I thought so too but it seems to not be as thin and flakey under a magnifying glass. some areas. I know it is not hollow like a geode but was hoping if I cut it in half that It would look like goldish veins.

Could be mica. Would need to see it in person. And depending on what angle you cut the rock, you may see different things. Kind of like wood, some rocks will appear different if cut "against the grain" or "parallel with the grain." Make sense?
