Greetings from sunny San Diego, California where tourmaline is king! (If I did this right, then you should be seeing a picture of a piece of tourmaline right now) I like to spend my free time split between the club rock shop and looking for more rocks. Oh yeah, and sleeping. I also write a blog about my rocky adventures. Right now the subject of discussion is saginite and plume agate from Chuckwalla springs, so come on down, visit, and get to know me a bit! ;-) www.rockchaser.com-Eva

Hi Eva, I remember you from a few rockhound adventures with matt B. I lived in fallbrook, but 6 mo. ago I moved to N. Iowa to take care of my Dad. Finding rockhound adventures out here are tough. Have to drive great distances to continue the passion of collecting. Welcome to this board. I just re-joined myself.

Thanx all! Yeah, seems Matt is doing well at his new digs up north. (yep that was probably me) But I am so sorry you had to end up in a state with few good rocks Bikerchick! I will have to cross Iowa off of my list of potential places to live! ;-) The tourmaline is actually a pic nabbed out of an old blog posting of mine and actually belongs to someone else at the rockshop. He was working on that silver cap for it when I took the pic. It just seemed like a good idea to post a pic of tourmaline since that is the local famous material around here. -Eva www.rockchaser.com
