Here's a report of new finds on the Channel Islands off the coast of California. Man, I wish it was me digging that stuff. It don't get much easier than sand. And it's about time this type of research is being done. We "amateurs" have realized for a long time now that early man was hop skipping along the western coast to inhabit North America. It has taken academia this long to admit that everyone couldn't have rushed over the Bering Strait at the same time. It'll probably be a lot longer before they admit the same thing was going on in the Atlantic, and probably before the Pacific migration. Of course, one problem proving the theory is that most all the evidence is now under water. And I am not implying that those doing the present Channel Island research are saying anything about early migrations, it's just that the dates for the artifacts are supportive and I feel like jumping to a conclusion not yet proven.
