Scott and I found these Limonite or Goethite pseudomorphs after Siderite rolling around in the bottom of an Alpine fissure crystal pocket recently. Most had little patches of Golden Rutile on them but some had the very pretty little Red Rutiles, too. You want to save as much of the clay from your pockets and take it home to clean as possible. You might find some of these. A nice little Siderite morph. One with a patch of the Golden Rutile. And some Red Rutile. Joe

Wow Joe! Awesome! Love the red needles of rutile!! Did you see any little borgs running to and fro on the surface? Trekkies might get that

Joe, Some nice finds there!!! Nice pic work as well. Those red rutile's are very nice. No matter how small!!!! Some day I'll get to check out these spots you keep working. Very well done. keep those reports and pics coming.
