last count I heard was that over 400000 attended all 10 combined shows. Great weather etc. The theme was the amethyst silver vein in Creed Co. Many great specimens shown - sliver threads, sowbelly, amethyst crystals and vugs, and sooooo much more. really great. As far as Antero material the guy I dug with a couple of weeks ago was showing about 100 lbs of Aquamarine crystals. pretty and most facet grade! One of the famous dealor there was the owner of the Diamond hill and he was showing really great material, I was happy to see what you guys dig for-- NICE !!! Dicky

I'm not sure Dicky. The best person(s) to ask would be Laurie or Bryan or Jason if he were still on the board. You could try a search on sceptor formation of try Mindat.org. I think that would be a good starting point.

sorry guys and gals , went back to the wigwam area to try to find the amey secptors and only found lots of extremely clear and white .The veins are about 10 foot in thickness and maybe 300 ft wide but have many fractures. We suspect that at the edge of the feldspar granite uplift higher up the claim and along the crekbed we will possibly find the amey secptors . The finder will not reveal as of yet the exact location .Will kep ya posted just a reminder of what I want to find on my club claim near where these were found
