I bought a rock that is suppose to be malachite from Africa. Does anyone know what the light blue and black colors of the rock are?
I can't seem to attach a pic it is too large of a file.

You can go to....http://www.picresize.com/... to resize your pics. I usually reduce 50%. Save your resized pic to desktop. Then you can post it from there. You can also use the site to edit your pics. I usually use the sharpen image too.

Well, it's not Malachite from Africa, and it probably isn't from Africa at all. Probably from New Mexico, Arizona, Utah or Nevada. Malachite is green. Any little green areas in that piece would be Malachite. The light blue is Chrysocholla. Dark blue is Azurite. You've got a nice rock with areas of chrysocholla running thru it. Makes pretty cabs.
