According to NASA, The Perseid Shower will begin at around 10 p.m. tonight August 12. This will remain until Friday morning. As the moon will rise during that time, most shooting streaks can only be seen from Thursday midnight to Friday morning.
If you have the right location for watching. You could see 50 + meteors an hour.
They will hit the atmosphere at around 140,000 miles an hour. Be sure to duck.
Another rarity. Venus, Mars and Saturn will be seen just above the new moon in a small group.
Great nite for star gazing....... Later Jim
