picked these up at my first rock show Not sure what they are, wondered if anyone recognized them: #1: #2: #2 seems to have everyone stumped. Hopefully someone here can shed some light on it, or maybe take a few steps with some educated guesses? Either way, it's nearing the end of its life on the vibratory lapper... looking good

Number one is a brecciated agate, no. 2 is a more conventional agate. There may be some fancy varietal names for them, but they're agates.

I really like the brecciated piece. Cool stuff. I agree with Laurie, they are both agates, probably with source names. Joe

I would agree with Joe's and Laurie's assessment of your photos. I would also venture to say that the brecciated material in the first specimen is very likely Rhyolite. That first specimen was really neat, thanks for sharing!!

Easy to just call them agates..with thousands of names you can pretty much call them what you want when it comes to agates...nice specs.
