Just about finished with another intarsia piece. Summerville agate centerpiece surrounded by Savannah River agate with an outside border of Mary Hill Jasper.

Looks great!! What type epoxy/glue do you use?

I don't use super glue because they are not very resistant to solvents. I use 5 minute epoxy but it too is somewhat susceptible to solvents, but you can continue working an hour or two later. Longer set time epoxies are better but it depends on your schedule. The Summerville and Savannah took a mirror polish; however, the Savannah is the finer cryptocrystalline material. The Mary Hill jasper did not polish as well. Word of wisdom: Don't assume the circular pattern will be in the same spot on the reverse side of the slab.

Mickey That is a wonderful piece! A little disconcerting, but wonderful nonetheless.

Sophia, Disconcerting-I love it. I name my intarsia pieces and couldn't come up with a name for this one. Thanks!!
Rebecca, I have various framing material for my intarsia, and I used black onyx on this one; even though, it isn't from Georgia.
Going to try a fire agate- dino bone one next.

I like that Mickey. Especially backlit. I want a big translucent intarsia window to look at.
