Hi all,
I live in Utah and I am new to glowhounding, and rockhounding for that matter, so I am wondering who else is from Utah. My 7 yr old son and I are starting to collect (after the snow melts and we can actually see stuff) and hope to have enough collected that he can use it for a science fair project maybe next year.
So since I am new and really don't know where to go collect in my area, or at this point even what to look for to locate what I'm out there to collect, I am looking for others in my area that might show a new guy the ropes so to speak. So if you live in Utah let me hear from you, I live in Payson (Utah County) but don't let that stop you from contacting me, contact me anyway and we'll see what we can arrange to go collecting sometime.

Welcome to the board.
I call myself a glowhound also.
We have alot of collecting going on out East, even some great glowrocks.
I hope you can connect with someone out west to collect with.
If you are ever out East... You are always welcome at a MAGMA dig.

lots of good area there . get a book from the falcon series - I think it is titled rockhounding in Utah . It is a series of books that cover most western states and take you down a lot of hwys and mark by mile marker what to look for . Good luck DIcky form Colorado
