this is from the site of the montrose dig from the supply canal . i have no idea what it may be. its very hard. looks porous and has worm fossils attached its about the size of a baseball . it looks like it was melted glass but not like when you melt a bottle in a fire. it s more like it was in a rock structure then got broken out. ? Neat find. There has been industry around the falls since the industrial revolution started. Since it was Nickola Tesla who invented AC power at the falls. Which started the whole industrial revolution. Maybe it was a melted insulator from an early experiment. Or more than likely industrial tinted window glass from a fire. Thats just a guess because I see bubbles in the clean break. Kind of a glass give away. But thats just a guess. I like the Frankenstien melted when an experiment went boom and melted it theory to. LOL GL Jim Then again I went back and looked at it. ... I have come to the conclusion...... I have no idea....

Niagara Falls is the only place I have ever been that has a monument celebrating the fact that Nikola Tesla was so very important in the develoment and use of electricity. Ames Power Station in Colorado "The station was built during the "War of Currents" between Westinghouse and Thomas Edison as to whether alternating current or direct current electric power would prevail, and its success led to adoption of alternating current at much larger plants at Niagara Falls (1895) and its eventual dominance worldwide."
