All were found near the confluence of Grant's Creek and the Yadkin River on family land. Many were found while farming. Any standouts among them?

I'd say about all of 'em, Gus! Welcome to the Board! I've paddled the Yadkin from Rhonda down to 421 several times in the past, but haven't gotten down to your area much. It's been on my list of "Things To Do" tho. You've got a couple of real beauties there! I'd guess your oldest one is in Pic 2. It has real long basal tangs, (which are called "auricles"), and has about 1/4 inch missing from the point. I would love to see you organize your points by age group. It would make it much easier to look at. There is a poster of the projectile point types of NC in a post on page 2 of this section called, "Projectile Point Traditions". Take a look at it and see if you can't divide yours up into Paleo period, Archaic period and Woodland period. That would be a start. I would definitely like to see some singled out and closer up. Glad you found the board and congrats on RETIREMENT!!! Joe

You still trying to organize those things, Gus, or did you just decide to go fishin'? Joe
