Yep, cool once again. Wish I had a snowflake obsidian knife, too. Can't keep a good knife anymore. Abuelito, where is the Rose of France? Looks like amethyst to me, or is that called Rose of France? Ken

hello hello,,ken the color of that amethyst is what determine the name rose of france,,,more purple it isnt,,,here is an amazing thing,,the women at the mines piedra parada,in their homes they keep this color in their kitchen and all rooms where they can see it,some hang them from a string,they say it keeps them calm when they see them,,say the color makes them feel good,,i dont know,i guess them healey feelys have something,,,i also like to see that color,,,ok later ab,,about 2 years ago gronkus posted a rose of france gem i recall it very much,i wonder if he sold it,wow was a great gem,,thanks gronk,,,ab

ab, yes, I did in fact sell that rose de france trillion :-) One of the few still not in my carry case. It is nice to facet because you can get it CHEAP. But if you make a deep cut, you'll still get that pink tinge color. Still, I'd rather have some deep purple JXR ammy ;-)
