This was fun, but it was also a real challenge. Rough out(tourquoise was just to hold the blade tip up to take photo) Trimmed out. Rough ground. Finished. Close up of blade. Doesn't show up well because it is black. The brown under the edge is a reflection off the desk. And, it is fairly sharp. Thanks for looking, Ken

KEEP IT UP kEN I AM ENJOYING YOUR SPECIMENS. Several of us are desperately searching for what we believe will be a non fracture Sowbelly for you to experiment with. Dicky

Thanks Dick. The very first piece you sent me was superb. But, I used it for cabs before I started doing knives. I guess when this is blasted out of the wall, it gets internal stress cracks. When I get lazulite from Graves Mtn., I use a 10# sledge hammer on boulders as big as a VW and lots of it gets stress cracks fom beating it so much. I'm an old fossil, but not an Indian.

Great knifes to get past metal detectors. Terrorists will love them.

Nice one Ken! What is the blade made out of? Black jade? The handle looks like African turquoise, very unique, where is it from also? Thanks, just curious.

Mike, I just took my time and eyeballed it. Dude and Rebecca, the blade is obsidian and the handles are green moss agate.

Rebecca, it's sold. Rick, I have thought of it, but the ones I've looked at have several notches cut on the inside and it would be extremely hard to do that without a lot of equiptment. Ken
