I got this piece from James(nose2ground) as a gift(thankds James) he collected it on the lakeshore(I think he said) well..he got it from where he collects all his artifacts. can you tell me anything about it? Is it some sort of birdpoint? thanks

Well James must really like you, Jason. A quartz crystal arrowhead. Used to kill birds, deer, people, etc. Just imagine that pretty piece of rock on the end of a 2 foot stick sticking into you. I can guarantee it would hurt like........ If it didn't kill you, you be wishing it did! It was the style of the time, which would be late, or recent, ie; 1200-1600 AD. A True arrowhead. Seems like the natives in James area really liked using the clear quartz crystal. And they probably only drank Perrier. (Allright, I'll stop.) Joe

actually, not that I like him - I kinda figured it would distract him enough so that I might have a chance to find some beryl. Did not work, apparently there's no stopping him once he gets beryl (or amethyst) on his brain!
just kiddin - jason's a good guy, and it's nice to share some of the goodies every once in a while.
fyi - I might have something for Joe, if it ever happens that I run into him at a dig! That, or if I get invited to NC to hunt for some of that smokey quartz (that was a hint).

thanks Joe, but unfortunately will not be able to make it this time just keep me posted as to any other digs you will be attending, we are bound to meet up eventually!
