I got a nice surprise when I zapped some rocks I brought back from the Thanksgiving weekend trip to the Ray Mine with my shortwave UV light. Wait for it.... In daylight it really doesn't look like there is anything that differentiates the areas that turn that bright yellow when you shine the UV light on it. The reason I collected this rock was that there is a nice fat mica book on the other side. The photo above is an animated gif.

Bammer, I like the effect you have applied to your photos. The yellow fluorescence is from apatite. I have several specimens with the same vibrant yellow glow from our dig Hope you and yours are doing well. John
