Thanks for the post, kurts. I think that big spear point would've caught my eye, too. Can't say anything about it but would like to know more. I guess ND would be a good place to start. Nice axe heads and they show ALOT of wear. And what is that little black conical object in the top left of your last pic? Is that ground stone or horn? And it has that incised line around the pointed end. Joe

Thanks for all your insights and ideas! The conical object caught my eye too, but I did not ask about it. The darker stone axe looks to me very deliberately made, where craftsmanship is beyond simple functionality of many tools I've seen. I'll need to dig through my books and hopefully get some insight there.
