Wow!!
Where did you find that, the colors are very impressive with both green and blue present. Is it hard like agate or softer like calcite or marble? At first glance it appears to be fossilized stromatolitic algae, if it is harder than glass around 6.5 on the Moh's hardness scale it is probably agatized. Again thats really kool I have never seen anything like that from around Payson before.

since you are in az, the blue stuff could be azurite, after that some form of host rock, but can't tell just from a picture.

xtldggr, it was found out by the airport, but, some of the rocks that I am finding out there are not from this area, I found a nice chuck of caramel agate not from this area, someone some time ago dropped off a bunch of rocks, I'm thinking someones old rockhounding collection, some of the jasper has been cut. It cuts like serpentine but a bit harder, after it's cut it is very smooth. gemlover, the blue really is not a true blue maybe more like grey, blue-grey.

It does look a little like the algae I have too, that would be my guess, see if it scratches glass.
