Can anyone tell me what this stuff is? I found a couple small pieces on the beach in Sorrento British Columbia, which is just west of Salmon Arm. Its not really hard, maybe a 5 or 6 (just guessing by how it cut/shaped). The bits on the cab that look like pits are actually clear material. It was a hard to get a really good shine with AO polish if that helps. This is the rough And here is a cab Thanks for any help.

The pattern kinda looks like some dino bone that I have seen. But the color I haven't. Then again I have seen dino in lots of colors. As far as hardness ,I have seen some really soft dino too.Whatever it is I like it. Jim

That's some really neat looking stuff, Saskrock. Pretty cab. I wonder what it is? I'll go ahead and say it,"Looks kinda like turquoise!?"
