Hi Everyone, Here is a project I took on last month. A replica Indian spear walking stick. My wife and I do some hiking in the area so these come in handy. I first cut a straight sapling, notched the end to fit an arrowhead in and then secured the point with leather cord while making a grip. I then cut the bottom down and put a rubber walker foot on it. A little sanding and some furniture oil to protect the wood and it’s done. It looks crude, but I wanted it to look like a real Indian spear while making it functional. The spear points were a couple I had around. The right one close up is a Yadkin point (1500 years old from Randolph Co.) and the left is a Neanderthal point (40,000 to 80,000 years old from Sevres river area in France). These make fine walking sticks and we have a spear just in case of trouble. They are also a great conversation piece. Keith
