I will guess it is agate wood the top pieces show some fiber looking material I have seen in agate wood from Minnesota and South Dakota.

Didn't know what it was but the glaciers dumped off some of the exact same stuff around here. I have a few chunks that look identical.

Not too much I have 2 pieces about 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" about 1" thick. Wait a second make that I had 2 and have 1 left. I just remembered I tried making a arrow head out of the one. It didn't work too well for that but I'm just learning. So I should have one piece around somewhere.
That seems to be the good/bad part of living in southern Saskatchewan. On the good the glacers brought rocks here from miles around so you can find a huge variety in a very small area. Most things have a lot of the rough grind for tumbling done already too. On the bad if you find something you really like don't mess it up because you might only ever find one piece. It will also probably be small with cracks from the natural rough grind it got.
