Found this in an undisturbed creek in Happy Valley/Yadkin Valley off 268. Has anyone EVER seen anything glass or mineral related in this shape? 1200dpi 1200dpi 2400dpi P.S. it's not plastic

How big is it?
It may be a tektite or actual meteorite.
The reason I say this is it looks melted and pitted like several meteorites I've seen.
Any bubbles in it?

Only guess other than glass would be hyalite. Check it out with shortwave UV light. If its hyalite it should fluoresce bright green.

My best guess is melted glass because the pits are on the bottom only. The top is smooth like a flow of melted glass. The pits being only on the bottom are likely steam and gas heated under it and pitting the bottom before cooling. looks like campfire from a hunter.

Tom, I agree with you now that I looked at it closer.
I have melted many a bottle in the campfire but they are usually amber or green, giving you a hint of the contents.
Maybe a coke bottle?
I have found several things in Lake Erie that I thought were meteorites but turned out to be melted metals dropped in the water from ships burning.
There are hundreds of shipwrecks up here on the lake.
DigDug thanks for always giving us something to look at and I love the crabtree jewlery you made.

Yes it does have bubbles in it. The bubble/pitting is what caught my attention. It does not flouresce any color. I do agree that it is glass. Makes me wonder how long that item has been burried in that creek.
