I have collected from The NC Mtns. Is there a market and what price? These are the brightess with a quarter for size on the 1st three pics. Size is about 50#, 12#, and 5# roughly You can send me a private message or post here. I plan to bring to a dig or will deliever during one of the school breaks. The last two pic I added just to have a few mor pics (no quarter on these). I just have no clue as a fare price. www.varockhounder.com/uploads/2007112018447430.jpg[/imgThanks Colorado

Cool photos. I have seen nice lapidary quality hyalite opal (candy stripe from Utah, nice rainbows but needs to be made into triplets usually) for $10 a pound if you only wanted a pound or so, a little less for big quantity. The stuff with no color is worth much less but is still a cool find, everybody wants an American opal specimen or at least they should. Post some regular photos if you can, they would help. ;D Dude
