I ran across this term online, but the link was a dead end.
Is anyone familiar with a piece of machinery that does precision straight beveling on regular cabs?
I have a hard time imagining a machine that would precision bevel the perimeter of a round or oval cab, but maybe a straight edged cab?
Any way, did some looking around online, but not finding anything.
Anyone know of something like this?
Thanks..

A straight line bevel can be created in a conventional grinding method. No problem. .. Then the next paragraph.. OK precision grind the bevel of a round or an oval cab. this will take guides for and with a manual controlled machine. But you forgot the other real main hard question. How to create the dome automatically?

How to create the dome automatically? Well, I found out this morning that the term straight line beveling was more intended for glass cutting. Did I feel silly ! But now that Ken has pointed me to a name I did find one at lapidarysupplies.net There is no picture and I have no idea what one looks like so asked them to send me a pic. They are asking 126.00 for a preformer package. Bargain?? When you talk about conventional straight line your just referring to "by hand", correct? I am doing ok by hand, but have bought some that are very straight. Perfectly straight and perfectly angled. That is what I am after..... "this will take guides for and with a manual controlled machine."Sounds complicated. May I ask for any possible links, schematics, pics, or any other help in getting started with building something like this? I am new to actually cutting, sanding and polishing my own cabs. Have been a reseller for the last year. So please bear with me. I have some of the basic shop stuff set up, and am finally picking up a slab saw this weekend. Yee Haw !! ;D Any way, very interested in learning the above. Building, buying or creating the equipment necessary to complete top quality cabs. Thanks for listening.....
