Two years ago, I sold one of my books to a couple from St. Paul, Mn. They have been to SD several times to hunt for Fairburns, and I have accompanied them. We all have found some happy success in those hunts. They just recently invited myself and my son to accompany them to a private sand and gravel pit, near the west shore of Lake Superior to find the fabulous Lakers and some great Sphere Material to boot. The trip was a total success, despite the 100 degree weather. Once that first one was found we did not notice the hot temps as much and it seemed to get more and more bearable the more we found. Thanks to Drew, I am going to attempt to post a couple pics of our finds according to his instructions. 1 2 It just goes to show that taking time out of ones busy schedule to befriend a fellow rockhound does have its rewards. Brian & Jenona, I thank you for your friendship, and to all the people on this forum for some great information over the years. Bob M.

Bob, Nice stuff! Just scrolling to the top of the picture I thought it was a pic of some 'taters grilling or something :-) But I wouldn't want to bite into any of those puppies! Dave
