I have been collecting rocks now for over 50 years and have developed an addiction to the smell of rocks. Different rocks have subtle to huge differences in smell. Of course I am not stupid enough to be sniffing rocks having mercury or asbestos. I am more addicted to that earthy smell. You know the smell you get when it first begins to rain. Am I the only one? Or are there others out there?
