Full Disclosure: I know what kind of rock this is and the general area in which it can be extensively found, but what I am seeking is a "name" that the locals might have given to this curious (collectible) rock?
I am trying to contact rockhounds who live in the Fernley Area and who have hunted in the Fallon, Silver Springs, Fernley, and east Reno area. Or anyone who may have also found this rock-type from this area.
Again, I can give a name to this rock, but I would like to know: if there has already been a "rockhound" name (e.g., field-name, market-name, etc.) given to it by people more familiar with this specific rock.
