My wife and I have been out rock hounding in various areas of Ontario over the past few months. We've found some great specimens, that we've cut, tumbled, and used for jewelry and art work. I found this specimen on the shores of Lake Ontario, and it really got me curious. I cut the rock down, to see how far this inclusion went. At the same time, I cleaned up a cross section of the rock to show the interior of the cut. Anyone have any ideas what this is? The inclusion looks almost fossil like. I took a magnet to the surface (and interior) and it's not magnetic. drive.google.com/file/d/0ByZritsbD5fHRk43MlIxMHM3XzQ/view?usp=sharingI am hoping this link will work, for folks to view it.
