hiya all- I'm a newby here but a longtime rockhound. I accidently hounded a huge garage sale fulla slabs once about 20 years ago- I understand the slabs were from the 50s or 60s. I bought all the rocks they had but some of it I just don't know what is. This is one- its tough as nails- cuts like jade on a cabber but I don't really think that's what it is- whatever it was was 5 bucks a slab in the 50s cause it was marked on the back. This is a piece I polished up. pretty but what is it? (was hell on my cabbing machine to get any kind of shine on it at all.) anyone have any ideas? Attachments:

hmm maybe- doesnt cut right for quartz though- and sheen isnt right. a little too dull by natural for it. er and lol for the heat Id put to it Id expect it would've shattered on me- still a possibility though.
I cant discount it.
