California Dredge/highbanker regulations

Any gold miners from CA have any new information about dredging/highbanking on BLM claims? I was in Tahoe last year visiting and was interested in getting a claim but was told it is now illegal to operate a pump for either dredging/highbanking in CA. So I didnt get a claim. Any updates on the illegal California regulations?

California stopped all dredging. But you can still come operate in Oregon!

I would be staying in South Lake Tahoe so Oregon is a bit too far. I was hoping for good news that mining would be allowed on BLM land again.
