These nodules are found in the alluvial deposits in the foot hills of the Bighorn Mountains, WY. They come in a number of sizes from penny size up to racket ball size. When they are cut open the center looks to be iron rich and there the radiating fibers spreading out from there. Any information as to what these are and how they are formed would be greatly appreciated. The image is attached. Attachments:
