Nice Finds for Wake County! Heck it's getting hard to find any dirt to look at here. First of all, if you scroll down to the thread "Projectile Point Traditions" on this page you will find a chart of all the different major point types found in this area. That chart will be a lot of help to you. This point is a little banged up so it's hard to make a positive ID. First choice would be a Morrow Mountain type, circa 6000BP. The contracting basal stem is a key characteristic of that type. If it's much over 80mm long then you may be looking at a later Savannah River type, circa 4000BP. I'll go with the Morrow Mtn first, but due to damage and missing edges it could've been the latter. Nice find. Take an old toothbrush and clean it up. Joe
