Geez Amguy, i dunno if i could bring myself to split such a huge specimen. Then again, im sure you have comparable material or u wouldnt even consider it. I however, never hit the purple at DH. My largest ammy from there basically could cover old abes head on a penny. Yeaaah, that small. Anyhow, whatever you do, post pics! And if youre gonna bust that puppy, send me the scraps! Lol :-)

Great find. I hope to make it to diamond hill this next spring for several day's. If you split it try to use a different method then the hammer.

This was a top pick at the split from our last dig, we did very well, not a phenomenal hit like we have had in the past but we got some great purple, alot of odd included stuff, and noticing that the amethyst is meeting up with the skeletal now, the next few machine digs should stir up some very interesting stuff! Also have several wall of virgin dirt to dig in now, just recently a couple from this board found a large pocket of shiny smokeys and amethyst. Attachments:
