Here is a picture of some of my recent relic finds. I am no expert but based on my readings and the dates printed on the bottles they range from the 1890's to the 1930's or maybe 40's for the green soda bottles in the back which have "Asheville, NC" molded into the glass.

Nice finds, crowsnake. Your dates sound about right to me. Walnut Creek in Raleigh had a dump from about the same time period on its banks and I used to hunt bottles from where the creek was cutting into it. The medicine bottles are cool but the Frenchie parfume bottles were the prize! Joe

Very cool. I have always been interested in old bottles and such. Can't you find them in old outhouse pits?

Indeed. I won't foget digging at the 'Tree one day during a club dig, and out of the ground I pulled a nail. It was funny because EVERYBODY wanted to come see it lol. I always keep an eye out for relics from these old mines and have several tools and nails/spikes from here and there.
