Hi all, I wanted a little place for me to post my collection and to add my new finds without making new threads... this will be that place. I've spent the day photographing my collection, uploading it, and adding descriptions. It can be found here: www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2251674&id=34413643&l=960583791bI live in Houston and there really isn't much geologically interesting unless I head up north to the Huntsville area. However, I have family in central Texas (Burnet) and I make an effort to go rock hounding when I'm up there. When I make new finds, I'll post them here. Please let me know if I've misidentified anything... B

Dang Brian! That's a lot of work! Great job! When you got a few minutes you can come do my collection if you want. Off hand the only thing I'd question is your slab of dino egg. Looks like it might be a piece of petrified palm wood. Your call tho. Joe

Thanks The dino egg... yea, I'm not too sure about that one myself. It was part of a small collection my father bought from a rock and mineral shop in Colorado. I don't have any data on the samples other than their identity. It could be a pet palm, can't say for sure. It does have a consistent curve, much like a geode sample... I should have taken a picture of the obverse, I'll do that later.
