Earlier i posted a thread about home displays and here's to going above and beyond. We expanded to the back yard. This first boulder we bought as "blue marble". In our opinion, it is amazonite which corresponds to the location as....in Virginia. I have a few pieces from Morefield and it's a match. All 80 lbs of this was only $40......quite a steal. If you look close, there's rocks from some familiar mines......Hogg, DH, Graves, Ray and more I hop you enjoy these. Tom

Sweet! Love all the flat rock stations in the water fall. Nice piece of amazonite and nice little chunk of chert(?) you got there, too. I would love to do something like that also. If you have any pics of the work-in-progress they would be cool to see. That really is the best place to display your rocks, outside! Joe

Going into the side of the hill right in your front yard would make a nice place for one Rick. You wouldn't have to move much dirt. And with the hill to make the natural drop for the falls you could have a nice raccoon pond. That roofing bladder sure makes it EZ to give them a nice shape. And big. For not to much money. Just lots of work. Speaking of lots of nice work. Great pond there Traveler. Looks nice and deep for the Lotus, Lilys and Lily pads. Very nice water fall. I can hear it singing from here. By the way. If you like pond plants. Or if you want to learn or know anything about ponds. One of the largest and best supplier of lilys and lily pads and lotus blossom in the country is right across from the Sheffield ruby mine. Outside Franklin NC. If you hit it at the right time of year the water lillies are something to behold. Right now is end of season but I bet it still has some beauty's blooming. And they have some lily pads that are big enough you can float a small child on them. Its called Perry Water Gardens www.perryswatergarden.net/index.aspUm did I say? Nice water fall and pond?

Thanks Tom. The trellas was a tough decision. Being in Florida, we had to have one to cut the sun down a little. We had big dreams of curved ends, but decided that this was it. All of you up in NC probably need one for the winter to keep the snow out instead of the sun.

You really did do a beautiful job and I know it's a heck of a project. Thanks for the progress pics. They really help to get the full scope of the project. Joe
